Aviation Logistics School, Fort Eustis, VA?
Would i be going to Ft Lee for 15U (CH-47 Helicoter Repair) or would i be going to Ft Eustis. (AIT Training)
Also where would i be station at?
You will go through 16 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Eustis, Virginia, including inspection and repair of aircraft engines and equipment (Part of this time is spent in a classroom and part in the field under simulated combat conditions).
You wll most likely be stationed whatever there are CH-47s of course. You might end in a CAB (combat aviation brigade) as a part of a Army division or one of the few remaining (the Army’s transformation process) separate aviation units assigned to Corps level units. While I was in Afghanistan, we used the 159th AVN travel with. The “Hooks” were the only birds that could transport personnel in the mountains at that alttitude.
