if i have an admin. job in the USAF could i still get deployed and be in combat somehow?
admin. meaning personel, aviation resource management, traffic management, Logistics plans, ect.
i do want some action thats why i asked. lol thank you for your answers
Possible, but very very very slim. Now, I am not sure considering my branch is USMC, so I am not an expert on the Air Force, although I had family in it and non of them fought even during war times. I know for me and Army and Marine branches your MOS (job) can deter you from ever entering combat. Could you be deployed to a combat zone? Yes. Doesn’t mean you will fight which is what I believe you are asking. The branches tend to leave the fighting to the infantryman and pilots, but on rare occasions radio technicians have been pulled into combat. Now, I am not sure if the Air Force even has anybody fighting on land, I thought they were more concerned with, well, the air. So, I would imagine, slim to none. Probably have better luck with someone who was in the AF.
