Which is better, a co-op or an internship? Pros-cons? Which one would a potential employer find more valuable?

I am a Comprehensive Marketing major with certificates in Sales Management and Supply Chain & Logistics and a minor in Management

A co-op is the equivalent of an entry level job without the guarantee of a job or actually being on staff. You basically work full-time and gain experience. An internship tends to be more geared for people still in school since they are part-time, flexible, and they offer no pay. In terms of value, I’d say a co-op is much more valuable. Many interns do crummy grunt work so their resumes don’t look as good. However, some interns do tend to get hired full-time and often in fulfilling positions within their fields because of their internships. Co-ops don’t necessarily offer that. The purpose of an internship is almost always to get a foot in the company’s door that lands to a job.
