im not sure whether to join paras or any other regiment.. advice!?
Hello.
Im 17 years of age and hoping to join the army in 6 months.. the thing is i really dont know what regiment to join. my uncle is in the royal artilery and so natrually i was pulled in that direction but i would really love some front line action or to be a elite like in the paras of something like that. i dont think i would want to be in the royal Logistics just say because i think personaly driving a truck is very boring. i am great at sport i could soon be playing for scottish premiership team falkirk but i really do love the sound of the army. i would love jumping out of a plane into enemy territory but i would also love driving a tank and on the other hand i would love the aggressive front line action… please guys help me out!?
If you want excitement and front line action join the royal marines. That are elite like the paras but due to their training standards they do a wider range of mission, (they are the UK’s mountain and jungle warfare specialists). You can also get your wings with the marines as well so jumping out of planes is still an options. (hardly anyone jumps out of planes anymore as helicopters have proved far more affective). Go for the marines, their the best in the world. Their not called commandos for nothing. Good Luck.
