International trade/ Logstics?
hey can anyone tell me how i can get a job in Logistics such as importing, freight foward in melbourne Australia. Agency are not much help. ive just completed a shortcourse in exporting importing, now studying international business 1v( international trade). Anyone know of any big companies i can send a resume too?
Look to International banks they need people like you in Trade Finance. I would recommend the below in your area and upload your c.v.
Working with freight fwds and import houses are a deadend job. You will spend your life working in a bureacratic environment and at best be promoted to a sales manager position.
Banks are solid with policies and procedures where democracy is more prevalent. I know cause I worked in Trade Finance and Corporate Banking and Started coincidently in a Freight forwarding business based in the Middle East.
I reached a Senior Corporate Bankers position and got tonnes of training courses and international exposure in conferences as well just because I moved to banking. its tough work but you will enjoy it with good pay.
